Bird Watching

Birding is a popular activity to do in our area. There are a variety of places to stop by with your binoculars and see unique species of birds, including the Cape May National Wildlife Refuge, Cape May Inlet, Indian Trail Swamp and Hereford Inlet – Stone Harbor. 

Free Beaches

Known as one of New Jersey's Best Beach's the Wildwood Crest Beach is five miles long and offers a safe, clean, family friendly and spacious place to enjoy water activities and spend the day by the ocean. 

New Jersey’s Largest Boardwalk

Experience one of the country’s last great seaside promenades. The Wildwood Boardwalk is full of fun for the entire family! Enjoy 2.5 miles of over 100 rides, unique attractions, endless shops, arcades, waterparks, eateries and entertainment.

Amusement Piers & Waterparks

When you need a break from the sun, try one of our three large oceanfront water parks Splash Zone Waterpark and Morey’s Piers and Beachfront Water Parks . Whether you are a dare devil ready to ride the highest slide or you just want to float around in the lazy river, there is so much fun to be had! Each park has a section just for the little ones so kids of all ages can have a blast! 

Free Outdoor Concerts

Wildwood Crest offers a summer concert series at our beautiful Fox Park Amphitheater every Wednesday and Saturday night. The concerts are free and fun for the whole family. Check out our free concerts and events happening in the local area of Wildwood Crest and beyond. 

Sunrise Park, Playground & Outdoor Gym

Sunrise Park is brand new in Wildwood Crest and located directly across the street from the Lotus Inn. Sunrise Park is a three-block-long public park along the beach and includes a shaded play area, bike racks, benches for relaxing, a splash pad and an outdoor gym. 

Bike Path & Bike Rentals One Block Away

Biking is a fun activity to do, especially in the warmer months. There is a free bike path that runs almost the entire length of the five-mile island, beginning at Rambler Road in Wildwood Crest. Didn’t bring your bikes? You’ll find bike rentals just a few minutes walk away from the Lotus Inn at DR Bradley’s Bikes and Crest Bike Rental

Free Festivals

The Wildwoods are home to over 160 festivals a year – and many of them are completely FREE! From classic car shows and monster truck battles to food and wine festivals – there is something to suit everyone’s individual tastes. 

Boardwalk Craft Shows

If you love arts and crafts, make a point of visiting the boardwalk during the summer months. Visit with creative vendors and browse hundreds of amazing handmade creations. It’s free to enter and there is parking available. The show goes on whether it rains or shines!
